Set up your venue

Go from a new account to a printed QR poster in about five minutes, one short step at a time.

When you create your account, Kiwiback walks you through setting up your venue in eight short steps. They follow a guest's visit: they scan, they answer, they get a coupon, they come back. Every step has a sensible choice already made, so you can tap Continue and change things later.

Before you start

1. Open Kiwiback and tap Get started at the end of the welcome screens. If you're on the login screen, tap Create account instead.
2. On About you, enter your name and your email, then tap Continue. You'll sign in with this email.

Set up your venue

1. Your location. Type your venue's name and town in Name and town, pick it from the list, and tap Yes, that's us. We fill in its details from Google Maps. Not on Google Maps yet? Tap Not on Google Maps yet? Continue without it and type the name yourself, then choose What kind of place it is.
2. Your brand. Enter your website and tap Look, and we'll take your logo and colours from it. Or tap From your photos to add a logo yourself, and pick a colour. You can tap Skip for now, or Use our picks for the rest to fill in the next steps for you.
3. Your questions. This is the survey your guests answer, about 30 seconds long. The recommendation question is Always asked. Check the language under Asked in, then tap Continue.
4. Your coupon. Choose what guests get for answering: 10% off, A free dessert, A free drink, or Your own. Choose how long it's Valid for: 14, 30 or 60 days. If you're on Google, you can also invite guests to review you there after their coupon.
5. Try it. Tap Start as a guest to answer your own survey in your phone's browser and get a coupon. Then come back to the app, where you play the till and tap Redeem it. Nothing you do here is counted. Short on time? Tap Skip, I'll try it later.
6. Your QR. Choose One for the whole location (recommended) or One per table or area, and say How many?
7. Your poster. First, confirm your email: enter the code we've just sent you. Then pick a look (Classic, Brand, Minimal or Chalk) and tap Download your poster · PDF.
8. One thing left. Put your poster up where the bill lands, then scan it with the app once to check it works. Tap Go to and your venue's name to open your home screen.

Can I stop halfway?

Yes. Your progress is saved. Open the app again, on any phone, and you carry on from the step you hadn't finished.

To leave setup altogether, tap ⋯ at the top and choose Skip setup. Guests can't answer until you have a survey and a QR, so finish soon: for 30 days, Finish setting up in Settings takes you back to where you stopped.

Can I change things later?

Everything you choose here can be changed in Settings: your questions under What you ask guests, your coupon under What you give away, and your posters under Your QR posters.

Who'll be at the till?

Give your team the app so they can redeem coupons too. See Add someone to your team.
